Park Forest, IL—(ENEWPSF)—January 4, 2013. Looking for ways to recycle your Christmas tree or holiday lights that are no longer working?
Through the month of January, Park Forest residents can drop off Christmas trees at the north end of the Park Forest Aqua Center, 30 North Orchard, where they will be turned into mulch. Please be sure to remove all decorations, lights and tinsel from the tree prior to dropping it off.
The Village will be offering residents the opportunity to pick up mulch, free of charge, for use in their gardens. Mulch can be picked up at the Village’s Public Works yard. Please call the Village’s Recreation and Parks Department at 708-748-2005 to arrange for a delivery if you require a large amount of mulch.
Holiday lights can be placed in the e-waste recycling bin located in the lobby of Park Forest Village Hall, 350 Victory Drive.
