Home Sustainability Expert to Talk at Sierra Club Meeting on March 14

Matteson, IL—(ENEWSPF)—March 4, 2016. The Sauk-Calumet Group of the Illinois Sierra Club has its next meeting on Monday, March 14th at 7:15 pm.  The meeting is at the Frankfort Public Library at 21119 Pfeiffer Rd. in Frankfort.

Our featured speaker will be local success story, William Lorch of Joliet.  Mr. Lorch installed photovoltaic panels for his electricity and a solar thermal system to heat his hot water and warm his house, and he recouped his investment in three years!  In addition to his energy independence, Mr. Lorch has a fruit orchard, garden, and honeybee hives.  Come and meet this man who has figured out some successful ways to live more sustainably.

Monthly meetings start with announcements with the program following.  Programs are usually about nature or an environmental issue.  Meetings are free and open to the public.  For directions or more info about the Club and its activities, contact Patrick Coffey at [email protected].
