Indiana University Northwest to Host Natural Lawn Care Workshop on March 21


Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—March 6, 2012.  Chip Osborne, renowned natural lawn care expert, will be featured at the ‘Natural Lawn Care Workshop’ to be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 21 at Indiana University Northwest’s John W. Anderson Library/Conference Center, 3400 Broadway, Gary, Indiana.

Representatives from landscape companies, turf manager, municipalities and school districts will learn from national and local experts how to:

  • Succeed With Organics.  Use a ‘feed the soli’ approach for optimal turf quality and appearance.
  • Build Healthier, Resilient Turf.  Learn how to take advantage or organic fertilizers, natural pest control, compost and teas.
  • Grow Your Business.  Explore how to expand your clientele and develop a profitable program.
  • Become More Sustainable.  Improve environmental performance and your bottom line.

The workshop is being presented by Safer Pest Control Project (SPCP), Great Lakes Restoration, Sea Grant, Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission and Lawn to Lake and is sponsored in part by Calcium Products, Inc. and Nature Safe Natural & Organic Fertilizers.

There is a fee of $125 per person.  However, discounts are available for multiple registrants.  Continuing Certification Hours (CCHs) are available for this workshop.
