Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- The Park Forest Public Library, 400 Lakewood Blvd, will host author and historian William Hazelgrove on Thursday, August 22 at 7:00 p.m. William will cover the Chicago Mafia and the efforts to get rid of Al Capone while putting on a World’s Fair in the worst year of the Great Depression.
William Hazelgrove is the National Bestselling author of ten novels and six nonfiction titles. His books have received starred reviews in Publisher Weekly Kirkus, Booklist, Book of the Month Selections, ALA Editors Choice Awards Junior Library Guild Selections, Literary Guild Selections, History Book Club Selections, and optioned for the movies.
Mr. Hazelgrove runs a cultural blog, The View From Hemingway’s Attic.
A question and answer session will follow. Additionally, while alcohol consumption suffered thanks to prohibition, snacks flourished. Come and enjoy snacks from the roaring 20s!
