Military and Family Appreciation Day at the Chicago Botanic Garden on Sunday, June 24

In partnership with the Chicago Botanic Garden, USO of Illinois, and the American Legion, we are welcoming military service members and their families on Sunday June 24th to a special day at the Chicago Botanic Garden, 1000 Lake Cook Road in Glencoe. (View Map)

This event has been made possible by a gift from the Annie and Gregory K. Jones family, military and family will enjoy a day of fun experiences throughout the Chicago Botanic Garden.

The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Admission and all activities are free and will include tram tours, admission to the Model Railroad Garden: Landmarks of America, the Butterflies & Blooms exhibit, a lunch program, and drop-in workshops in the Buehler Enabling Garden hosted by the Chicago Botanic Gardens Horticultural Therapy Department.

Yoga and culinary art workshops will take place in the Regenstein Learning Campus. Plus an entire activation of Nichols Hall will feature artwork and programs by the National Veterans Art Museum.

PLEASE NOTE: Tickets are for military service members (veterans, active duty, and reservists) and up to 4 guests. If you have more than 5 in a family please contact NVAM directly.
