Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—August 10, 2012. The Annual Tall Grass Artists exhibit ‘Luminosity,’ will open on August 10 and run through October 7. An opening reception will be held on Friday, August 10 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Gallery.
The exhibit, curated by Cousandra Armstrong, Janice Pratt and Faye Zalecki, features more than 50 artists. The participants include several of the newly juried Tall Grass Artists. The works presented are in a variety of media including watercolors, oils and acrylics, and photography, pastels and pencil. In addition to the two-dimension works, there are several three dimensional works including hand-painted gourds and painted porcelain.
Tall Grass Arts Association is located at 367 Artists Walk in DownTown Park Forest adjacent to Village Hall.
It should be noted that Orchard Drive is under construction. It is northbound only between Lakewood Boulevard and Route 30/Lincoln Highway. Visitors to the Gallery who are arriving from north and wet of Park Forest are advised to travel south on Governors Highway to Sauk Trail, turn north on Indianwood (just past Rich East High School) and park in front of Village Hall. Visitors arriving from north and east of Park Forest are advised to travel south on Western Avenue, turn right on Main Street and park along Main Street.
