Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)–April 24, 2013. The League of Women Voters of the Park Forest Area will host an educational meeting on the topic of the Park Forest Sustainability Plan on Wednesday, May 8, at 7:00 PM at the Park Forest Public Library, 400 Lakewood Boulevard in Park Forest.

The topic of the meeting will be the Park Forest Sustainability Plan, which focuses on how to make Park Forest sustainable now and in the future in the areas of the environment, the economy and in equity issues, such as education, housing, health and culture. Sarah Coulter, a consultant for TERRA Engineering and currently serving as the Sustainability Coordinator for the Village of Park Forest,  will present the plan and lead a discussion on how these efforts will enable Park Forest to continue to be a strong community. Her role is to work with the Village staff, the residents and business owners of the community in the implementation of the plan.

The meeting is open to the public and anyone interested in the topic is encouraged to attend to learn more about this important issue.
