Park Forest Vehicle Sticker Fees Increase May 1, Tickets Possible


Park Forest Village Hall will Remain Open Until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30 – Expect Long Lines

PARK FOREST—(ENEWSPF)—April 28, 2014. Residents are reminded that Park Forest vehicle stickers must be displayed on every vehicle registered in the Village of Park Forest before April 30, even if the vehicle is not located in the Village, to avoid late fees and fines.

Vehicle stickers are available for purchase at Village Hall during normal business hours. Stickers are also available for online purchase. (Click on the link at the bottom of this message and scroll to Park Forest and follow the instructions. Please note that a $3 convenience fee will be added to your transaction, and your sticker will be mailed to you.) Residents eligible for a discount will need to come to Village Hall to purchase their sticker.

Sticker fees will vary. Fees range from $50 to $75 for passenger cars, trucks and recreational vehicles, and $30 for motorcycles 150CC and up.

Vehicle stickers are $25 for seniors (age 65 and over). Vehicles owned by Park Forest schools and religious groups are also available for a cost of $25.

For persons with disabilities, the cost of a vehicle sticker is $25 provided one of the following applies:

• Verified handicapped license plates issued by the state of Illinois
• A letter from the Social Security Disability Administration
• A letter from a physician stating that the owner of the vehicle is disabled

There is no fee for vehicles completely powered by battery and electricity.

Fees will increase as follows:
May 1 – July 31 | $75
After August 1 | $125

Vehicles without a 2014-2015 sticker will be considered delinquent after Oct. 31

Animal Tags
Animal tags will also go on sale March 3 for $10 per animal. Registrations are due by April 30 and will require a current rabies vaccination certificate.
