Rabbi Paul Caplan Fields Questions From Marian Catholic World Religions Students (Video)

Olympia Fields, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Rabbi Paul Caplan of Temple Anshe Sholom in Olympia Fields, takes questions from Marian Catholic World Religions students after Shabbat services Friday night.

Approximately 25 of the 90 students taking the semester-long course are present at this Shabbat. Students are required to attend one Shabbat service.

Rabbi Caplan demonstrates his passion for Judaism, as well as his depth of understanding. Questions touched on the difference between a synagogue and a temple, Jewish teachings on the afterlife, the state of Israel, homosexuality in Judaism, Jewish teaching on the Messiah, and more.

On a personal note, I always enjoy learning from Rabbi Caplan, and am extremely grateful that he takes this time to engage the students. And I’m so, so very impressed with my students and the calibre of their questions.

Note: For the first few minutes, the camera was losing focus, no doubt influenced by the open door to the hallway. We moved the camera to the other side of the group, and this issue was eliminated.
