Sertoma Centre’s BIG Event Has Something for Everyone

University Park, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Where in the South Chicagoland area can a family of four enjoy tasty ribs, delicious chicken, phenomenal chili, and an assortment of exciting ethnic dishes for $10 Adults and $5 for children 12 & under?  For this incredible price you receive food tickets for samples of the various dishes prepared by Firehouse Chefs from the city and suburbs.  You should know in advance that these Firemen are competing for the title of best chef so the food is amazing.  Chicago sports legends as well as TV and radio personalities will judge the competition.  You will enjoy the musical stylings of the Island Dreams Trio, the talents of Dave Fleming the magician/juggler, Boomer from the Windy City Thunderbolts and fun activities for the kids.

BIG Event is held Saturday, May 15, from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Bourbon Street, 3359 W. 115th St., Merrionette Park, IL.  Supported by the Aileen S. Andrew Foundation and the Southtown/Star Newspaper, the BIG Event offers great food and a great time for everyone. The BIG Event Committee appreciates the additional support from the following companies and organizations: Action Sertoma Club, POW-R Sertoma Club, Chicago Lawn Sertoma Club, The Lombard Company, La Preferida, Inc., Metro South Medical, Southwest Sertoma Club, Knights of Columbus, Tinley Park Sertoma Club and Mulcahy, Pauritsch, Salvador & Co., LTD.

Ticket prices are the same low price as last year

  • Adults $10 for entry fee = 10 food tickets
  • Children 12 & under $5 = 5 food tickets
  • Children under 3, free.

All proceeds from this event benefit programs at Sertoma Centre Alsip, IL for over 650 individuals with developmental, physical, emotional disabilities, and/or mental illness. Our services include vocational evaluation, developmental training, community-based assessments, senior programming, work adjustment training, residential services, janitorial skills training, foster care, job placement services, supported employment, specialized services, scho`ol transition services, mental health services and vocational training.
