Southland Community Associates of the Art Institute of Chicago Sponsoring January Lecture Series


Chicago, IL–(ENEWSPF)– The Southland Community Associates of the Art Institute of Chicago invites the residents of the Southland area to a January series of lectures at the Art Institute of Chicago, 111 South Michigan, Chicago.

The first lecture is Wednesday, January 6, 2010 in Fullerton hall. It is titled, "Feasts and Festivals in Art." It is presented by Robin Schnur, Associate director, Student Programs, Museum Education, AIC.

On January 13, the lecture is titled, "Agony and Arete: Sport in the Ancient World" presented by Lucas Livingston , Associate Director of Senior Services, AIC. "The Right To Be Lazy: Work and Leisure in Impressionist Painting" will be presented by Margaret Farr, Lecturer, Museum Education, AIC.

The January 27 lecture titled, "You Are What You Wear: Fashion Statements in Art" presented by Director of Adult Programs, Museum Education, AIC, Jeff Nigro. All programs are on Wednesday at 10:45 A.M. in Fullerton Hall.
