Tall Grass Arts Association To Honor Lois Anthonisen And Patricia Moore

Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- The 2013 Beaux Arts Ball, hosted by the Tall Grass Arts Association, will be held on Saturday, April 6 at 6:00 p.m. at the Glenwoodie Golf Club, and will honor Lois Anthonisen and Patricia Moore. Lois has been a major supporter of the arts for many years. She and her husband, Martin, began “Jazz in the Park” in their backyard as a method of raising funds for local arts organizations. Lois has particularly supported Tall Grass and has made purchases through the Art Fair Purchase Prize Program that fill her building at Anthonisen Financial in Flossmoor. Patricia Moore is a professional artist and has taught art to several generations of south suburbanites. Her paintings are exhibited annually in the Park Forest Art Fair and can be seen in many pubic buildings in the region, such as the Tinley Park Convention Center.

The theme of the ball, this year, is Glitz~n~Glam.  The name evokes images of the era of Hollywood, of false eyelashes and long cigarette holders, of sparkly dresses and bright lights. Costumes are not mandatory. Black tie is also optional, but gorgeous!

The ball is a major fundraiser for the Tall Grass Arts Association, which hosts a regional gallery, art school and the annual Park Forest Art Fair. The ball features danceable music, a silent and live auction and a great dinner.  Unlike many other silent auctions, the Tall Grass auction features reasonably-priced art by many of its gallery and art fair artists. The live auction features such wonderful gifts as a date night for two for six months of the year.

Anyone interested in attending the ball should call the Tall Grass Gallery at (708) 748-3377.
