Chicago Heights, IL—(ENEWSPF)–Come out and cheer on State Representatives Anthony DeLuca, Thaddeus Jones, Will Davis, Al Riley, Robert Rita, André Thapedi, Marcus Evans and Ed Sullivan as they take on the Mighty Rolling Falcons Wheelchair Basketball Team on September 6, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at Lincoln-Way Central’s North Gym, 1801 E. Lincoln Highway, New Lenox.  

While playing against the Lincolnway Special Recreation Association (LWSRA) Rolling Falcons, the State Representatives will get a chance to see first-hand what it is like to play a sport in a wheelchair.  The goal of this event is to raise awareness of special recreation programs and give the participants and public the personal experience needed to become better advocates for people in our communities who have disabilities.  Many of our own friends and neighbors may have great talents and abilities, but may not currently have access to special recreation programs.  Many times those gifted people are sitting, unaware that such recreation opportunities exist.
