Union Street Gallery Opening Night Reception for ‘Dialogue’ Exhibition

Chicago Heights, IL—(ENEWSPF)—January 11, 2011.  Union Street Gallery, 1527 Otto Blvd., Chicago heights, is alive with the bold colors, gestures, line and form of more than 30 large scale abstract expressionist paintings by well-known painter Patricia Moore.  Moore’s work, well-known to collectors, educators, art dealers, and interior designers, is represented in private collections across the U.S.  Patricia Moore has shown in countless sites including The Art Institute of Chicago and the Fort Wayne Museum of Art where Moore’s work was ‘in dialogue’ with Robert Motherwell when both artists were featured in concurrent solo exhibitions.

The current exhibition, titled ‘Dialogue’ is a conversational exchange between Moore’s paintings and the work of 14 regional sculptors, creating a dynamic exhibition that takes full advantage of Union Street’s elegant two-story gallery and lower level intimate spaces.  Central to the exhibit is Moore’s newest painting ‘Classical Jazz’ which is a large vertical piece created specifically for ‘Dialogue.’ Sculptures in cast bronze, clay, found objects and wood complete the conversation.

A must see exhibition, ‘Dialogue’ opens on Friday, January 14 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a free wine and cheese reception for the artists and the public.  The exhibition runs through February 12, 2011.
