Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Members of the Illinois School Climate: Chage in Action, or C2.I.A. Club, addressed the Environment Commission last week, sharing their plan to help residents light up their homes for less this winter.
The students read a prepared statement to members of the commission, "As one of our earth-friendly projects, we would like to distribute compact flourescent light bulbs to help our residents save money and save our environment."
The students said Parks Superintendent Rob Gunther suggested they offer to assist the Village of Park Forest in distributing its supply of CFLs.
"We would like to pass them out to the Illinois School community at school functions such as the Science Fair, Parent-Teacher Conferences, and the Expo," the students said.
Members of the Environment Commission expressed their support of the idea and their gratitude to the students for taking the initiative.
