Probably the most important race during this election cycle is the Governor’s competition. On the Democratic side, candidates are now waging war of words against each other. It seems to be a three person’s race, but we can’t ignore Tio Hardiman and the others who are soft-stepping through the process.

Daniel Biss, Chris Kennedy, and J.B. Pritzker are arguably the frontrunners. And from polls on either side, each person is much closer to winning the Democratic nomination than the other. This contested race will be determined by the undecided voters and it’ll be neck and neck, as each candidate has been mounting insulting attacks on the other.

Illinois’ Republican Gov. Bruce Rauner remains the most vulnerable governor in America. Rauner’s primary challenger, state Rep. Jeanne Ives, is running negative T.V. ads aimed at turning conservatives against the incumbent.

But things may be even more unsettled on the Democratic side: Controversial comments by Pritzker about blacks has widened an opening for his opponents. State Sen. Biss has emerged as a top competitor to Pritzker. But Rauner and Pritzker, are still likely to win their embarrassing primaries, setting up the general election in November, to be the most expensive state race in America’s history.

The Attorney General’s race is also getting heated. Each respected candidate has started airing T.V. commercials telling their story about why they should be the next A.G. Frontrunners are former Governor Pat Quinn, Kwame Raoul, Sharon Fairley and Jesse Ruiz. Each has incredible credentials but only one will win with the fickle voters. This race is completely up for grabs! – MG Media
