Energy Assistance is Available – Need Help Paying Heating Bills?


Joliet, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Cook County Commissioner Joan Patricia Murphy is hosting an Energy & Information Fair

Thursday, November 14th 10am to 2p.m. at the Biela Center in Crestwood.  Located at 4545 Midlothian Turnpike.  Applications for LIHEAP (low income home energy assistance program) will be processed at the Energy Fair.

Federal funds are available to families that qualify. One time payments are made directly to Nicor and ComEd to provide financial support to households. The winter season is just around the corner and along with the cold comes higher energy bills.  The application is fast and easy.

When applying you MUST  bring: proof of gross income for the last 30 days. Original Social Security cards for all household members. Current Nicor and ComEd utility bills.
