South Suburban Tax Pros is owned and operated by Park Forest residents Shelia Hester-Whorton and Joe Carroll, formerly of Jackson Hewitt Tax Service.  Our extensive experience in the professional tax industry ranges from seven to fifteen years. We are committed to meeting the tax preparation needs of our communities and clients we serve. We are very customer driven; community focused, and strives to achieve our goals by maintaining a staff of professional tax preparers.
Our Commitment to the Community

With a commitment to the communities we serve, we establish partnerships with nonprofit organizations, faith-based organizations, and local businesses.

Our Helping Hands Partnership provides incentives for our clients, and their nonprofit organization, faith-based organization, school district, or local government. This partnership donates $25.00 to our partner for every paid tax return we complete at our office.  The Helping Hands Program is a perfect way to establish an annual fundraiser!

With our Business Advantage Partnership Program, we partner with local business owners to establish flat rate discounts on the tax preparation fees of their employees.  This program ensures that employees receive professional and accurate tax preparation services, at a significant cost savings. The Business Advantage Partnership Program may also be listed among the benefit employer’s offer their employees.

Both of these programs are at no cost to the nonprofit organization or employer.
Our commitment to our community extends in our pricing as our fees average 30% less most major tax companies.

Our Statement on Diversity

Diversity is embraced on all levels. Going beyond race and gender, we welcome the uniqueness and potential of all people. In our hiring practice, we seek a qualified and diverse workforce that brings a wide range of insights and perspectives to help our company grow. Our commitment to diversity is strong, as diversity is a core part of who we are and what we do.
