Governor Quinn Ready to Work for the Common Good of All in Illinois

Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—November 5, 2010.  Outside the Thompson Center in Chicago, Governor Pat Quinn spoke publicly following the announcement earlier today that Republican Bill Brady had conceded the election.

“We have many challenges ahead, this is an awesome job. I’m greatly honored to hold the job of governor,” Quinn said. “We have a lot of work to do in Illinois and I’m ready to do it.”

Quinn invited Brady to meet him for lunch at Manny’s Deli in Chicago to bury the hatchet after an extremely contentious campaign.

“We could sit down and have lunch and work together for the common good of Illinois,” Quinn said. “I think that this is something that we should do all the time. We may have differences, strong differences on policy issues, but we are all Americans we’re all Illinoisans and we have to work together for the common good at all times,” Quinn added.
