South Holland, IL—(ENEWSPF)—October 24, 2014. Nearly 400 people attended a Hiring Event hosted by Congresswoman Robin Kelly on Friday at South Suburban College in South Holland.
Seventy-five employers with active job openings were on hand to accept resumes and interview job-seekers. This was the second annual job fair organized by Rep. Kelly.
Companies and agencies participating included Coca-Cola, Walgreens, Comcast, ComEd, Metra, Illinois Tollway, JPMorgan Chase, Ingalls Memorial Hospital, Sinai Health System, Bimba, BMO Harris Bank and Illinois State Police.
“This year’s hiring initiative was an even bigger success than 2013 because we used feedback from last year to improve the format,” Congresswoman Kelly said. “Many of the job seekers participated in one of the five Job Search Boot Camps I organized leading up to the Hiring Event, so they came well prepared with quality resumes, improved interview skills and a good understanding of how to successfully navigate a hiring event.”
