CHICAGO—(ENEWSPF)—November 19, 2012. Multiple Chicago human rights, faith-based, anti-war, and community groups are protesting Israel’s ongoing attacks in Gaza, killing and injuring Palestinian civilians (including many children) and destroying infrastructure, homes, and livelihoods. According to the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights mid-day on Sunday, “The number of Palestinians killed by Israeli Occupation Forces in the course of the offensive on the Gaza Strip, that has been ongoing for the fifth consecutive day, has increased to 51, including 27 civilians. The civilian deaths include 10 children and 5 women. Additionally, 535 Palestinians, including 520 civilians, have been wounded – this number includes 140 children and 83 women.” Early this morning, the death toll has risen to 89 victims to over 800 injured.

We will not stand for another Operation Cast Lead. We stand in solidarity with Gaza by calling on the US government to end its unwavering support of Israel’s human rights abuses. We demand the Obama administration put pressure on Israel to end its attacks on the people of Gaza and end the illegal blockade of Gaza.

March will begin at the Federal Plaza, go toward Michigan avenue, and end at Daley Center, where a rally will be held.
