Mayor Emanuel and Bloomberg LP Announce the City of Chicago Will Host the Inaugural Bloomberg Business Summit


In partnership with the Office of the Mayor of Chicago, Bloomberg LP will gather business leaders across industries to discuss vital issues facing multinational corporations

CHICAGO–(ENEWSPF)–March 5, 2013. Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Bloomberg LP announced today that the inaugural Bloomberg Business Summit will be held in Chicago on November 20 and 21, 2013.

The Summit will bring together more than 250 chief executives of major corporations, leaders in finance, and senior policymakers from around the world to engage in forward-looking conversations about disruptive technologies, newly emerging markets, and trends to watch. They will also discuss corporate responsibility and how to sustain success in the current global economic climate. The two-day program will showcase the resources of Bloomberg Businessweek, Bloomberg Industries, and Bloomberg’s executive conference group, Bloomberg LINK, and it will focus on the outlook for key industry sectors including health care, consumer products, energy & industrials, and technology.

The Chicago Mayor’s office has pledged its support for the Summit as part of its ongoing engagement with the business community.

With over 100 pages of editorial content, the special Bloomberg Businessweek Industry Outlook issue, to be published November 14, 2013, will give key decisionmakers across business, technology, finance, and government a competitive edge by offering them a look ahead at 2014 and connecting them to essential insights about the companies and industries most responsible for the world’s economies. The issue will include the release of the first annual set of proprietary Bloomberg Industry Rankings which will provide in-depth data on and analysis about the world’s most valuable companies in 50 industries.
