Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- The following is a release from Park Forest Mayor John Ostenburg:

At a few meetings over the last several months, citizens who serve on my Mayor’s Citizens Advisory Council (MCAC) have stated that we need more Neighborhood Watch activity in our Village. In response to that concern, a meeting with Park Forest Police Chief Cliff Butz, Deputy Chief Mike McNamara, and Deputy Chief Pete Green was held in early January and some new Neighborhood Watch programs already have been set up in some parts of town.

Now the MCAC is ready to expand the effort and is inviting citizens from throughout the Village to join in.

Please come to a very important organizational meeting to be held at

7 p.m., Tuesday, March 6
Court Room
Park Forest Police Department
200 Lakewood Boulevard
Park Forest

Everyone is invited. Come and learn how you can help organize a Neighborhood Watch group right on your block. Or, just come to get an update on crime prevention in Park Forest.
