Representative Schakowsky and Colleagues Send Letter to President Obama Expressing Concern Over the Trans Pacific Partnership

Washington, DC—(ENEWSPF)–December 10, 2013 – Representative Jan Schakowsky and colleagues sent a letter yesterday to President Obama expressing concern over negotiations on the Trans Pacific Partnership:

Representatives Jan Schakowsky, Michael Michaud, Rosa DeLauro, George Miller, Barbara Lee and Peter Welch sent a letter to President Barack Obama to ensure that the ongoing negotiations over the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) Agreement don’t include provisions that would undermine that goal of improving access to affordable health care in the United States and around the world. The letter urges that the Administration not make any final trade agreements that affect critical domestic and global health issues until members of Congress and the public have been given the opportunity to review provisions and provide input on their impact.
