Senator Kirk Statement on Illinois Storms and Emergency Response


WASHINGTON –-(ENEWSPF)–June 23, 2015.  U.S. Senator Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) today released the following statement after strong storms, including several tornadoes, caused significant damage across Illinois:

“My thoughts and prayers are with the communities affected by the storms and tornadoes that swept through North Central Illinois last night. I want to thank the first responders, the Illinois Emergency Management Agency, and the Red Cross for their quick response. My office has been in contact with the Governor’s office and local officials regarding ongoing recovery efforts, and we stand ready to provide any assistance we can.”
