CHICAGO–(ENEWSPF)–December 21, 2012. The office of Senator Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) released the following statement today regarding the City of Chicago’s Midway Airport announcement:
“Senator Kirk is a strong supporter of public-private partnerships that provide value to taxpayers, and he introduced the Lincoln Legacy Infrastructure Development Act in 2011 to further incentivize investment in our nation’s road, rail, transit and aviation infrastructure,” said Kirk spokesman Lance Trover. “In a time of severe fiscal challenges, innovative financing provides an opportunity to tap private funds for public infrastructure. We look forward to working with Mayor Emanuel as the process moves forward.”
