SSESC Holds 40th Annual Fossil, Gem, Mineral and Jewelry Show

Chicago Heights, IL–(ENEWSPF)– The South Suburban Earth Science Club held their 40th Annual Fossil, Gem, Mineral and Jewelry Show on the weekend of October 17th and 18that Prairie State College. The large gymnasium was filled with ones selling their handmade jewelry and fossils, which included dinosaur eggs and bones, plus marine life. Gems and minerals were on view and for sale.

Cub and Boy Scouts earned their geology badges and learned the basic skills of cleaning fossils. Educational programs were presented by Emily Cook, from the ecology organization ME4E, and NASA Ambassador, Joel Knapper.
