Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– At the Park Forest Board of Trustees Meeting of May 10, Village Board members voted unanimously to adopt a measure that will ban the usage of cell phones while driving in Park Forest. The ordinance will begin to be enforced sixty days from the date of adoption; allowing for a public education period.

Motorists may still make and receive calls using hands-free devices, or use the phones for other purposes, such as Internet or text messaging, while the vehicle is not moving.
