Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)— Park Forest American Legion Post 1198 will conduct a Memorial Day service at 11:00 a.m., May 26, at Park Forest Veterans Memorial in Downtown Park Forest at the intersection of Main Street and Cunningham Drive. The hour long event will be emceed by Bob Hughes. After the benediction and Pledge of Allegiance, Ella Swinney will sing the National Anthem. John Ryan will offer words on Americanism. The presentation of colors will follow.
Six Park Forest residents who were killed in action this year will also be honored at the ceremony.
