Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)— School District 163 has several meetings scheduled for this evening in the Forest Trail Middle School Media Center. An Education Committee meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. Dr. Joyce Carmine is scheduled to give an End-Of-Year Report during this meeting.
At 8:00 p.m. the board will hold a Public Hearing on the 2007-2008 District Budget. This will be followed by a Special Session during which the board is expected to approve approve the annual School Budget beginning July 1, 2007 and ending June 30, 2008 as presented by the Superintendent and recommended by the Finance Committee. The board will then consider several other matters, including a motion to approve the application for recognition of schools for 21st Century Preparatory Center, Algonquin Primary Center, Beacon Hill Primary Center, Blackhawk Intermediate Center, Mohawk Intermediate Center and Forest Trail Middle School, a motion to approve approve a contract for Dr. Robert Rubenow to conduct an external audit of schools in District 163. The board will then go into closed session to discuss disciplinary action for a student, and afterward is scheduled to approve the Finding of Fact as discussed in Closed Session for a student.
