Matteson, IL—(ENEWSPF)— Matteson School District 162’s Board of Education will meet on Tuesday, February 19, 7:00 p.m. at O.W. Huth Middle School, 3718 West 213th Place, Matteson.
In addition to other matters, items on the agenda include approving the employment of Linda Monier-Barrett, teacher’s aide at Illinois School, effective January 28, 2008, approving the employment of LaDonna Taylor, cook at Indiana School, effective February 11, 2008, and approval of the following: an extended leave of absence for Maryellen Goins, teacher at Indiana School, until the end of the school year, June 6, 2008; leave of absence under FMLA for LaShawn Stewart, dean at Huth Middle School, effective January 18, 2008, with a tentative return date of March 17, 2008; maternity leave of absence for Mary Johnson, teacher at Matteson School, effective March 5, 2008, with an anticipated return date of April 16, 2008; maternity leave of absence for Ester Stephenson, psychologist at Huth Middle School, effective April 25, 2008, with an anticipated return date after six weeks of leave; an addendum to Consulting Agreement for Personal Services between Inner Vision International, Inc. and Matteson District 162 and approve the February payment of $17,500 per the addendum; and the verbal resignation of Alisa Hill, cook at Indiana School, last day worked was February 8, 2008.
The district’s January financial statement will also be presented to the board.
The board will also go into executive session "to consider information regarding a student discipline case and the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees or public officials, collective negotiating matters between the public body and its employees or their representatives, or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees."
