Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)— Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.
An arrest does not mean that a person is guilty. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty. A Nintendo GameCube videogame was reported stolen from a juvenile on Central Park Avenue near Westgate on May 3. The victim reported that three juvenile subjects attempted to pull him from his bike. While he was struggling with them, an unknown adult male subject passing by in his car came to the juvenile’s aid and helped him get home. The three alleged offenders ran off with the items that the juvenile had dropped.
A Microsoft Xbox 360, a digital camera, four gold rings, three video games for Xbox, a wireless headset for Xbox, various bank and debit cards, and a wireless controller for Xbox were reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Nokomis on May 3.
Six feet of copper piping were reported stolen from the utility closet of a residence in the 200 block of Gold St. on May 3.
Rodney C. Brooks, 24, 331 Gentry, Park Forest, was arrested on May 4 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to a residence in the first block of Indianwood to investigate a report of domestic battery.
Michael L. Norman, 17, 125 Wilson, Park Forest, was arrested on May 4 and charged with misdemeanor speeding, obstructed front windows, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, resisting a peace officer, and possession of cannabis when an officer on patrol in an unmarked vehicle observed the vehicle Norman was driving traveling eastbound on Lincoln Highway from Olympian Way at what appeared to be an extremely high rate of speed. The officer activated the radar image in his patrol vehicle which indicated that the vehicle was traveling at 82 mph, according to police.
A Sony PlayStation 3 gaming system, a Nintendo Wii gaming system and five controllers, 7 Nintendo Wii games, 5 PlayStation games, diamond earrings, two backpacks, a checkbook, three Nextel phones, a gold/diamond-linked chain valued at $1200, a gold ring valued at $300, and other items were reported stolen from a residence in the 400 block of Winnebago on May 4.
Chapale C. Mason, 29, 3240 Western Ave., Park Forest, was arrested on May 5 and charged with possession of cannabis when police were dispatched to that address regarding a domestic disturbance in progress. Chadryl R. Mason, 25, 1249 Lincoln Ave., Chicago Heights, was arrested in connection with the same call and charged with one count of obstructing a peace officer and one count of disorderly conduct.
Kenneth S. Price, 27, 21907 Jeffrey Ave., Sauk Village, was arrested on May 5 and charged with trespassing when an officer on patrol in Court H-6 in the first block of Hemlock stopped to investigate when he observed a subject display a street gang gesture with his clothing. While the officer was questioning the person who allegedly made the gesture, Price allegedly approached the officer and asked him why he was bothering the first subject, according to police.
Dominique L. January, 17, 243 Arcadia, Park Forest, was arrested on May 5 and charged with criminal trespass to residence when police responded to Rich Court to investigate a report of suspicious persons. A juvenile was also arrested in connection with the same incident and was referred to the Detective Division for possible petition to Juvenile Court.
A juvenile was arrested on May 5 and charged with assault and disorderly conduct when police were called to the 400 block of Indianwood Boulevard to investigate a domestic disturbance.
Two juveniles were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct on May 6 when an officer was dispatched to Forest Trail Middle School, 215 Wilson, in reference to a report of a fight in progress.
A large piece of concrete was thrown through the front bedroom window of a house in the first block of East Rocket Circle on May 6.
Seventy-two compact discs, valued at $800, and a compact disc case were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of N. Arbor Trails on May 6. The front passenger-side window of the vehicle had been shattered.
A black pencil bag containing $100 was reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Nanti on May 6.
Adrian Garner, 37, 234 Farragut, Park Forest, was arrested on May 7 on a Real Estate Fraud Warrant when United States Marshals executed a search warrant at 6:39 a.m. at that address. Officer Mannino assisted the U.S. Marshals. Garner was taken into custody without incident, according to police.
Benjamin D. Fetzer, 33, 127 Westwood, Park Forest, was arrested on May 7 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to that address to investigate a 911 hang-up.
Brad Brooks, 34, 2712 Western Ave., Park Forest, was arrested on May 7 and charged with battery when police were dispatched to Elm and Western to investigate a report of an unknown disturbance.
Joseph Conley, 28, 14 West 26th St., Chicago Heights, was arrested on May 8 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to the intersection of Orchard and Lakewood to investigate a report of a disturbance.
A Birddog satellite meter, valued at $400, and miscellaneous tools were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 400 block of Indianwood on May 8.
Michael R. Albor, 28, 425 Neosho, Park Forest, was arrested on May 9 and charged with battery when police were dispatched to the 400 block of Indianwood to investigate a report of battery.
