Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

Complete reports follow below:

Police responded to a complainant who had been in a car that was driving in the area of Westwood Drive and Willow Street shortly after 4:00 a.m. on November 14. According to the complainant, occupants of another vehicle had fired a gun at him. Five subjects from the other vehicle were taken into custody. The vehicle was searched, but no weapons were located. Police spoke with the complainant at the Park Forest Police Station, who told him that he and the driver had gotten into an argument with the other subjects at a bar in Chicago Heights. The complainant, who had not been driving the other vehicle, appeared highly intoxicated to police. He finally admitted that the other subjects didn’t do anything, and there was no gun. Due to conflicting stories and no physical evidence, the case was declared unfounded by police.

A juvenile was arrested on November 15 and charged with criminal damage to property when police responded to the 100 block of Lester Street to investigate a report of criminal damage to property.

Charles A. Bates, 28, 222 Allegheny St., Park Forest, was arrested on November 6 and charged with possession of cannabis, speeding, driving with a suspended license, and no front plate, when an officer on routine patrol on Western Avenue at Court B-1 conducted a traffic stop when he observed the car Bates was driving was allegedly speeding.

David F. Phillips, 51, a homeless man, was arrested on November 16 and charged with criminal trespass to property and criminal damage to property when police responded to a residence in the 300 block of Oswego Street to investigate a report of burglary.

A purse was reported stolen from a residence in the first block of Dunlap Road on November 17. The victim went to the Park Forest Police Department to report that while attending a party at that residence, she had placed her purse on the table. Later on, she could not locate her purse. The victim learned that one of her credit cards had been used at four different gas stations.

The driver’s side mirrors of two vehicles parked in the 100 block of Walnut Court were reported broken off on November 17.

Numerous items were reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Westwood Drive on November 18. Items reported stolen included a Blu-Ray disc player, a flat-screen computer monitor, computer keyboard, computer tower, 32 inch flat-screen television, a PlayStation three game system, a 52 inch flat-screen television, two DVD players, a laptop computer, a samurai style sword, and $120 cash. Police continue to investigate.

Park Forest Police and Paramedics were dispatched to a residence in the first block of Hemlock Street to investigate a report of domestic battery. Police continue to investigate and have suspect information.

Wilbert Cummings, 71, 158 Westwood Dr., Park Forest, was arrested on November 20 and charged with domestic battery when police responded to that address regarding a complaint of domestic battery.

William R. Whitson, 22, 347 Merrimac St., Park Forest, was arrested on November 20 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Mantua Street to investigate a report of domestic battery.

A 42 inch Panasonic plasma flat-screen television, a Hewlett-Packard home computer, a Hewlett-Packard 12 inch flat-screen monitor, and a Hewlett-Packard F4100 printer, were reported stolen from a residence in the first block of Cherry Street on November 20.

Michael D. Anderson, 21, 308 Farragut St., Park Forest, was arrested on November 20 and charged with criminal damage to property when police were dispatched to that address in reference to a report of criminal damage to property. Anderson allegedly kicked a car, causing dents to the left rear passenger door and left front quarter panel.

Eric Woolfolk, 32, 1832 Vollmer Rd., Flossmoor, was arrested on November 21 and charged with possession of cannabis, improper display of registration, and failure to wear a seatbelt when an officer on patrol observed the vehicle Woolfolk was driving east on Sauk Trail at Western Avenue without any visible registration.
