Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)— Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

Police were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Well Street to investigate a disturbance complaint. There were no arrests.
A silver girl’s bike with blue flowers was reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Juniper Street on September 29.
A green Craftsman lawn mower was reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Windsor Street on September 29.
Police were dispatched to the first block of Forest Wood Lane on September 29 shortly after 1:00 a.m. in response to a call of a burglary to motor vehicle in progress. A witness reported seeing three men standing outside of a neighbor’s vehicle. Upon seeing the witness, the three men ran. Police checked the surrounding vehicles for any further burglaries and, while searching the area, Officer DeCeault recovered a black bag containing a black radio faceplate, a radio, a cell phone charger, and one vehicle “slim jim” tool near the area where the three men fled.
A juvenile was issued a municipal citation on September 29 in connection with the breaking of a window at 363 Main Street, the old Marshall Fields building.
Peggy A. Husarik, 40, 2925 Waldron, Kankakee, was arrested on September 29 and charged with one felony count of possession of a controlled substance when a detective traveling in a vehicle behind the car Husarik was driving observed the vehicle allegedly changed lanes twice without signaling. Husarik was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and issued a traffic citation charging improper lane usage.
Three apartment buildings in the 0-200 blocks of North Arbor Trail were spray-painted with graffiti on September 29. Police have suspect information.
Charles B. Harris, Jr., 48, 332 Minocqua, Park Forest, was served a municipal citation charging loud music coming from his house on September 29. According to police, Deputy Chief McNamara reviewed the call history at that address which showed a total of 22 calls for loud noise in the year 2008. According to Deputy Chief McNamara, Harris told him that he is a Union Laborer and he refused to stop playing his loud music.
Ricky L. Stevenson, 39, 1208 Anvil Ct., University Park, was arrested on September 30 and charged with aggravated assault and disorderly conduct when police were dispatched to Sauk Trail and Orchard Drive in reference to a report of a disturbance on a Pace bus.
A black 2008 Honda CBR 600 motorcycle, Illinois license MCK76H, was reported stolen from the 100 block of Dogwood Street on September 30.
A pink 2007 Yamaha R6 motorcycle, Illinois license BR2557, was reported stolen from the first block of Michael Street on September 30.
A black radio faceplate was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the first block of North Arbor Trail on October 1.
A piece of asphalt was thrown through a window of a house in the 200 block of Mantua Street on October 1.
Julius L. Jones, 26, 3901 W. 124th St., Alsip, was arrested on October 1 and charged with a class two felony count of violation of the Illinois Sex Offender Registration Act when an officer on patrol in the Eastgate subdivision encountered a suspicious vehicle. One subject fled from the vehicle, according to police. The other subject, later identified as Jones, walked from the vehicle to a porch in the 200 block of Arcadia Street. The officer recognized Jones and was aware that he was in violation of the Sex Offender Registration Act, according to police.
A wallet, a pair of gym shoes valued at $150, and $50 cash were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Arcadia Street on October 2.
Dustin J. Greiner, 27, 36 Ash St., Park Forest, was arrested on October 2 and charged with endangerment of the life or health of a child and resisting a peace officer when police responded to that address to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance.
Robert J. Catlett, 60, 350 Juniper St., Apt. #1005, Park Forest, was arrested on October 4 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to that address in reference to a report of a domestic disturbance.
Police responded to the Park Forest Police Department on October 4 in reference to a report of financial identity theft. A resident reported receiving notice of a past-due AT&T account, but the name on the account was her maiden name, and the account did not belong to her.
