Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)— Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

Police were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Nashua Street on August 28 to investigate a report of a suspicious person. There were no arrests.
An officer was dispatched to St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights on August 29 in reference to a report of criminal sexual assault. The complainant reported that while walking on Orchard Drive north of the town homes, a man grabbed her, picked her up and took her to a car. She said was driven to an unknown location and allegedly sexually assaulted. The woman, an 18 year old female, told the Park Forest Police that she had been abducted by several males in a car as she was walking on Orchard Drive and driven to Chicago Heights, where she was raped. Detective James Varga, assisted by detectives from the Chicago Heights Police, investigated the incident as the victim was taken to St. James Hospital , where she gave several differing accounts as to what occurred. According to police, during an interview, she admitted making up the story because she had stayed out too long with her boyfriend and had gotten drunk. She allegedly said she was afraid to tell her mother the truth because her mother did not approve of her boyfriend. She was charged with a felony complaint of filing a false police report and taken to Markham for a bond hearing.
An electric drill, a 10 foot ladder and other tools were reported stolen from a residence in the first block of Arrowhead Court on August 29.
Delores Simpson, 47, 247 Allegheny St., Park Forest, was arrested on August 29 and charged with domestic battery and unlawful use of a weapon when police were dispatched to that address to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance.
Lemanuel J. Pitts, 17, 130 Illinois St., Park Forest, was arrested on August 30 and charged with criminal damage to property when police were dispatched to the area of Thomas and Sandburg Streets to investigate a report of criminal damage to property.
Police were dispatched to the 300 block of Springfield Street on August 31 in reference to a report of a domestic disturbance. A female victim reported being choked by a male suspect. Police observed red marks around the victim’s throat. The alleged perpetrator had left the scene. Police have suspect information.
Tires of three Park Forest municipal vehicles parked in front of the Village Hall were reported slashed on August 31.
Four vehicles parked in the first block of South Arbor Trail were vandalized with spray paint on August 31.
A window of a business in a 300 block of Main Street was shattered on August 31.
Taneka N. Griffin, 31, 335 Winnebago St., Park Forest, was arrested on August 31 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to the Park Forest Police Department to assist another agency conducting an investigation.
Leon Sullivan, 71, 412 Wilshire St., Park Forest, was arrested on August 31 and charged with aggravated assault when police responded to that address to investigate a report of a disturbance.
A wallet was reported stolen from a purse left in the back seat of a car in the 200 block of Dogwood Street on September 1. The owner was unsure if the vehicle’s doors had been locked. There were no signs of forced entry to the vehicle.
The front door of a residence in the first block of South Arbor Trail was reported damaged on September 1.
A vehicle parked in the 300 block of Osage Street was reported vandalized with spray paint on September 1.
A vehicle parked in the 100 block of Nauvoo Street was vandalized with spray paint on September 1.
Jeremy D. Gatlin, 18, 542 Shelby Lane, Chicago Heights, was arrested on September 1 and charged with one felony charge of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and one felony charge of defacing the identification marks on a firearm when detectives responded to the area of Allegheny and Apache streets to assist patrol units in reference to several 911 calls regarding a large disturbance in the area.
A man rushing to the hospital because his wife was having a baby accidentally left his ATM card in the ATM machine at US Bank, 99 Indianwood Boulevard. The card was later turned into the records department at the Park Forest Police Department. The man discovered that a withdrawal had been made from his card in the amount of hundred and $140 which he had not authorized. Police continue to investigate.
The administration building for school District 163, 242 S. Orchard Drive, was vandalized with spray paint on September 2.
A black Mongoose bike was reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Juniper Street on September 2.
Xxavier Jones, 22, 33 East Rocket Circle, Park Forest, was arrested on September 2 and charged with retail theft and possession of stolen property when an officer responded to the first block of South Orchard Drive to assist Chief Fleming who had stopped two suspicious subjects.
Two school buses parked in the 23400 block of S. Western Ave. were vandalized with spray paint on September 2
Robert L. Harn, 21, 316 Winnebago St., Park Forest, was arrested on September 2 and charged with disorderly conduct when police were dispatched to the first block of Cromwell in reference to four 911 calls reporting a disturbance.
Three juveniles were arrested and issued municipal tickets charging disorderly conduct on September 2 when police responded to the first block of South Orchard in reference to a report of a fight involving several juveniles.
A vehicle parked in the first block of Ash Street was reported damaged by an unknown hit and run driver on September 3.
Antwyon R. Davis, 39, 39 Indianwood Blvd., Park Forest, was arrested on September 3 and charged with domestic battery, interference with the reporting of domestic battery, resisting a peace officer, and possession of cannabis when officers were dispatched to that address in reference to a 911 hang-up call.
Police responded to a residence in the 200 block of Allegheny Street on September 3 to investigate a structure fire. An unattached garage at a residence had been set on fire. The Park Forest Fire Department extinguished the fire and determined that the fire originated on the east side of the structure and was suspicious in nature. There were no injuries.
An officer was dispatched to the Park Forest Police Department on September 3 in response to report of fraud. A resident reported that over $4600 in charges have been made to a credit card without permission. Police continue to investigate.
Kenneth B. Floyd Jr., 23, 120 Ash St., Park Forest, was arrested on September 3 and charged with domestic battery, domestic assault and resisting arrest when police were dispatched to that address to investigate a report of domestic battery. As officers arrived on the scene, they observed Floyd running while allegedly swinging a metal stick at a female subject, allegedly striking her with the stick repeatedly, according to police.
A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Arcadia Street on September 4.
A black and silver Suzuki GSX-R 600 motorcycle, Illinois registration #AX827, was reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Juniper Street on September 5.
A Black Sears lawn mower was reported stolen from a residence in the first block of Elm Street on September 5.
