Police Execute Sunrise Search Warrant on Lester

Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Police discovered drugs and cash when executing a search warrant on Lester Street one day last week just before dawn. Two men were arrested.

On Thursday, July 17, 2008, at approximately 5:21 a.m., members of the South Suburban Emergency Response Team (SSERT) executed a search warrant at 117 Lester St.. The team made entry into the unit and detained one subject in an upstairs bedroom and another subject on the couch in the living room on the first floor. The subjects were later identified as Darryl Livsey, 26, 117 Lester, Park Forest, and Abdula D. Jimerson, 29, 319 Todd St., Park Forest.

Detective Busse advised Livsey of the search warrant, provided him his Miranda warnings, and asked him if there were any drugs or weapons inside the house. Livsey allegedly stated that he did not know if there were any drugs inside the house.

While searching the house, Detective Beilke located a clear plastic bag containing suspect cannabis in a pocket of a pair of jeans in Livsey’s room.

Detective Taylor checked through LEADS and discovered Jimerson had an active warrant out of Will County. Both subjects were subsequently transported to the Park Forest Police Department.

A search of the residence revealed a sandwich bag containing suspect cannabis, a clear plastic bag containing an unknown white substance, and $1,332.00 in US currency.

Jimerson was arrested and processed on the Will County Warrant. Livsey was arrested and charged with possession of cannabis and a probation violation, according to police.
