Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)— The Park Forest Police Department has released a sketch of the suspect in the May 3 armed robbery at Tower Cleaners.

The suspect is described as an African American male with light skin (yellow hue), 18 to 22 years of age, 5’9", weighing between 170 and 185 pounds. According to police, the man has long, light sideburns and light chin hair. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, large blue jean pants and white gym shoes at the time of the incident, according to police.

The Park Forest Police Department is offering a reward for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the suspect.

According to an employee, at 4:59 p.m., a male black subject entered the business. The subject allegedly moved directly behind the counter and removed a knife from his right sweatshirt pocket. The suspect allegedly demanded money while pointing the knife in the direction of the employee.

The employee opened the cash register and the suspect allegedly removed the cash, also taking money that the employee was holding in her hand, according to police. The suspect took a total of $174.

The knife was described as brown in color with a 3 inch blade. The suspect then exited the business and fled northbound on foot, according to police.
