Police Report – February 12, 2007

Editor's Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports.  Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

This week's report contain two from October of last year.  There was not a large number of recent reports available this week, which means there are others out that do not yet have a final disposition.  We will report on others as they become available.

We will always include some introductory comments before the first item.  While everything that follows is a matter of public record, we do not believe it is necessary to have names on page one.

Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– On October 23, 2006 police responded to a report of a stolen auto in the 100 block of Hemlock.  The vehicle, a Cadillac with Illinois registration 9865217 was entered in into LEADS as a stolen auto.

Judy Young Richardson, 51, 3318 Western Ave. was issued a municipal citation on October 24, 2006 for keeping a disorderly house after police responded to several domestic disturbance calls.

Two juveniles were questioned and released after a counterfeit $10 bill was used in the 300 block of Sauk Trail on January 17.

On January 23 a juvenile was charged with retail theft in the 100 block of Orchard after police were called to investigate a theft report.

Two juveniles were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct after a fight on January 26 in the 300 block of Sauk Trail.

On February 2, 2007 Michael L. Lewis, 21, 211 Shabbona, Park Forest IL, was arrested because of his suspected connection with the burglaries of several residences in Park Forest.  He is currently being charged with one count of residential burglary.

On February 4 officers responded to the 300 block of Gentry to investigate a burglary report.  Four tires were allegedly stolen from a locked garage sometime between January 28 and February 3, no suspects have been detained.

Orlando D. Lewis, 28, 3326 S. Western, Park Forest IL, was arrested and charged with felony driving while license revoked, expired vehicle registration, and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle after a traffic stop on Western Ave. and Main Street on February 7.

Gregory A. Brtva, 21, 3330 Florence, Steger IL, and Matthew J. Duncan, 19, 396 S. Cleveland, Bradley IL, were arrested and charged with burglary to a motor vehicle in the 100 block of North Arbor Trails after police responded to a call on February 8.

On February 8 police responded to the Park Forest Police Department to investigate a burglary to a motor vehicle report.  A black purse, “Coach” wallet, and approximately $200 were allegedly stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 300 block of Oswego.  No suspects have been detained.

On February 9 police responded to a residential burglary call in the 400 block of Seward.  After a canvas of the neighborhood, no suspects were detained.  Police continue to investigate.
