Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)— Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

An arrest does not mean that a person is guilty. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty. It is the policy of eNews Park Forest to not remove items in the public record from publication. If your name is listed in the police reports, we will only add information relevant to the final disposition of the case at hand, e.g. "Mr. Smith was subsequently acquitted," or "All charges against Mr. Smith were subsequently dropped." We will do so upon receiving and verifying proof of such disposition.

We will always include some introductory comments before the first item. While everything that follows is a matter of public record, we do not believe it is necessary to have names on page one.

Van J. Rohn, 36, 23343 Central Park, Richton Park, was arrested on March 21 and charged with reckless conduct when police were dispatched to the Speedway Gas Station, 401 Sauk Trail, to investigate reports of a white male subject allegedly threatening people with his dog.  According to the victim and witnesses, Rohn allegedly took his German shepherd from his vehicle and set it loose on the victim, the owner of a tow truck who was helping somebody change a tire, according to police.  Rohn allegedly ordered the man to move his truck, and was told that the truck would be moved when the tire had been changed.  The dog bit the heel of the victim, but did not break skin, according to police.  Assistant States Attorney M. Sorich reviewed the case and said that because of a lack of severe injuries to the victim, felony charges would be rejected.

Damon E. Murff, 36, homeless, Park Forest, was arrested on March 21 and charged with soliciting without a permit when police observed him standing outside the Speedway Gas Station on Sauk Trail allegedly soliciting money from customers.

Allen Clark, 22, 23449 S. Western Ave. #106, Park Forest, was arrested on March 21 and charged with criminal trespass to land when police were dispatched to that address regarding a subject who was allegedly trespassing.  Clark had been banned from the property, according to Lincolnway Management.

A blue 2007 Cadillac CTS sedan, Illinois registration 9140537, was reported stolen from the 300 block of Minocqua on March 22.  The vehicle was found by Chicago Police in the 9600 block of S. Dobson, “completely burned out,” according to police.  The vehicle had been set on fire.

An 11 year old juvenile was arrested on March 22 and charged with criminal damage to property when police were dispatched March 21 to the 400 block of Watseka to investigate a report of criminal damage to property.  Two cars were spray-painted with the letters “GDN”, according to police.

Von M. Dunbar, 25, 523 E. 154th St., Phoenix, IL, was arrested on March 23 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to the 2800 block of Western Ave. to investigate a report of domestic battery.

Eric L. Knox, 34, 1524 Arnold, Chicago Heights, was arrested on March 23 in charged with battery, attempting to leave the scene of a personal injury accident, failure to give aid or information, failure to report an accident to police, and operation of an uninsured motor vehicle when police responded to the 200 block of Arcadia in reference to a report of a large fight.

Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Arrowhead on March 23 in reference to a report of domestic battery.  There were no arrests.

Xavier M. Parker, 24, 93 Hemlock, Park Forest, was arrested on March 24 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to that address to investigate a domestic disturbance.

Kiara V. Sangster, 18, 93 Hemlock, Park Forest, was arrested on March 24 and charged with aggravated assault when police were dispatched to that address to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance.

Brandon Ogbebor, 25, 323 Waldmann, Park Forest, was arrested on March 24 and charged with resisting a peace officer and trespassing to real property when police responded to the Marathon Gas Station, 385 Sauk Trail, to investigate a disturbance.

A black 2005 Chevy Monte Carlo, Illinois registration 2559527 was reported stolen from the 100 block of Lester on March 25.

The front passenger door window of a pickup truck parked in the 100 block of Birch St.  was reported shattered on March 25.

Tracy A. Mack, 27, 2144 Western Ave., Park Forest, was arrested on March 25 and charged with prostitution, possession of drug paraphernalia and processed on an active warrant out of Cook County when police were dispatched to court E-3 on Elm Street to investigate a report of a suspicious automobile with two subjects inside allegedly performing a lewd act.

Two juveniles were arrested and charged with theft of property when police were dispatched to the Park Forest Library on March 25 to investigate a report of two juveniles being detained in reference to an alleged theft.

The rear window of a car parked in the first block of Cromwell Rd. was reported shattered on March 26.

Leanne M. Port, 25, homeless, was arrested on March 26 and charged with felony possession of controlled substance, misdemeanor obstructing justice in misdemeanor trespass when police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Western Ave., Court E-3, to investigate a report of a suspicious automobile.  Kevin F. Lewis, 22, 20835 Travers, Chicago Heights, a front seat passenger in the vehicle, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

The windshield of a car parked in the 200 block of Juniper was reported damaged on March 26.  Police observed several circular cracks in the bottom center of the windshield.

Police were dispatched to the 3300 block of Western Avenue to investigate a report of criminal damage to a vehicle on March 27.  The front windshield, rear window and front and rear driver’s side windows were all shattered.  The driver’s side rear passenger door also had a dent near the window frame, according to police.  The owner of the vehicle reported that he saw a female individual strike the vehicle with a metal pipe.  However, since they had been involved in a relationship for approximately 3 weeks, he did not know if he was going to pursue complaints, according to police.

Tina M. Davis, 24, 2640 201st, Lynwood, was arrested on March 28 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to Indianwood Blvd. and Western Ave.  to investigate a complaint of a disturbance.

The driver’s side rear vent window of a van parked in court J-1 on Juniper St. was reported shattered on March 28.

Police were dispatched to Allegheny Ct. on March 28 to investigate a domestic disturbance.  There were no arrests.

The driver’s side window and side mirror of a vehicle parked in the first block Krotiak St. were reported damaged on March 28th.
