Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)— Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.
An arrest does not mean that a person is guilty. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty. It is the policy of eNews Park Forest to not remove items in the public record from publication. If your name is listed in the police reports, we will only add information relevant to the final disposition of the case at hand, e.g. "Mr. Smith was subsequently acquitted," or "All charges against Mr. Smith were subsequently dropped." We will do so upon receiving and verifying proof of such disposition.
We will always include some introductory comments before the first item. While everything that follows is a matter of public record, we do not believe it is necessary to have names on page one.
Mark D. Robinson, 19, 387 Hickory, Chicago Heights, was arrested on September 29 and charged with driving while his license was suspended. An officer on patrol saw Robinson driving an automobile in the Eastgate subdivision, recognized him from previous contacts, and recalled him not having a valid Illinois license.
Police were dispatched to the 200 block of Allegheny on October 2 in reference to a residential burglary. Items stolen included $1250 US currency. Police continue to investigate.
An officer was dispatched to the Park Forest Police Department on October 4 to investigate a report of fraud. A Matteson resident reported being in receipt of a rent check in the amount of $2,740.00 from a Park Forest resident written against an account that had allegedly been closed since 2006. The complainant is landlord of a house on Somonauk.
Armoni A. Allen, 20, 186 Southgate Ave., Chicago Heights, was arrested on October 6 and charged with attempted financial identity theft when police were called to the Park Forest Police Department to investigate a report of fraud. Police have a signed statement from Allen.
The front double pane window of a residence in the 400 block of Shabbona was reported damaged with a landscape rock on October 6.
The front passenger side window of an automobile parked in the 100 block of North Arbor Trail was reported scratched on October 6. The molding around the lower portion of the same window was also damaged. Entry was not gained to the vehicle.
Police were dispatched to the 100 block of North Arbor Trail on October 6 in reference to a burglary to motor vehicle report. The owner of the vehicle reported that someone had shattered the driver’s door window of his car and removed the radar detector and approximately three dollars in currency.
A CD player was stolen from an automobile parked in the 100 block of North Arbor Trail on October 6.

Anitra D. Johnson, 31, 228 Allegheny, Park Forest, was arrested on October 7 and charged with assault and battery (simple) when police were dispatched to the 200 block of Allegheny in reference to a disturbance, with subjects possibly fighting.
An officer was dispatched to the 400 block of Wildwood on October 7 to investigate a burglary to a motor vehicle. A resident reported parking his car the night before, and when he returned to the vehicle the next day, he realized that an unknown person or persons had entered his vehicle and allegedly taken the stereo out of the dashboard, as well as two Panasonic JSW monitors.
Speakers, three amplifiers, and a shirt were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Winnebago on October 7. The owner reported being awakened by a loud noise followed by the sound of his car alarm at approximately 4:30 in the morning. The total value of the items taken is in excess of $1200, according to the report.
Police were dispatched to the 0 to 100 block of Apache on October 8 to investigate a residential burglary. The owner of a vacant residence reported hearing numerous subjects climbing out of an upstairs bedroom window when he arrived at the residence to show the house to a possible tenant. Police found a wine bottle, two DVDs, and a portable DVD player in the house that did not belong to the owner. Nothing was reported missing from the residence.
Casey R. Page, 19, 479 Dogwood, Park Forest, was arrested on October 9 and charged with a misdemeanor criminal trespass to land when police were dispatched to the 200 block of Juniper in reference to an unwanted subject.
Deliza C. Rivera, 28, 20012 Oregon Trail, Olympia Fields, and Jermaine T. Fleming, 29, 102 Nashua, Park Forest, were arrested on October 10 and charged with one felony charge of possession of controlled substance when an officer on patrol on Western Avenue near North Street observed Rivera allegedly driving a car with only one headlight. Rivera was subsequently charged with driving with one headlamp, possession of cannabis and possession of a controlled substance.
Rico A. Salguero, 24, 95 Fir, Park Forest, was arrested on October 10 and charged with class "C" disorderly conduct when police were called to the 200 block of Juniper Street in reference to a suspicious person. A witness alleged seeing Salguero allegedly lower his pants, remove his genitals from inside his pants, and walk a short distance.
Anthony L. Hamilton, 24, 1443 Wood, Crete, was arrested on October 10 and charged with domestic battery and criminal trespass to land when police responded to the 0 to 100 block of Hemlock to investigate a report of a domestic battery.
A resident reported dropping her wallet in the parking lot of a business in the 400 block of Sauk Trail on October 11. When she contacted her bank, she learned that someone had been using her debit card.
A window of a house in the 300 block of Somonauk Street was reported shattered on October 11.
Roosevelt Smyly, 27, 24578 Independence Blvd., Crete, was arrested on October 11 and charged with driving with a revoked license, speeding over statutory limit, and possession of cannabis when an officer driving a marked patrol vehicle eastbound on Sauk Trail approaching Indianwood observed Smyly allegedly driving a car on Sauk Trail at a high rate of speed.
Alexander Coolidge, 29, 14331 Kenwood, Dolton, was arrested on October 11 and issued two citations, charged with improper display of registration and operating an uninsured motor vehicle, when police were called to the 100 block of Blackhawk to investigate a suspicious vehicle.
An officer was dispatched to the 100 block of Shabbona in reference to a criminal damage to property report on October 11. A witness related observing five or six juveniles, approximately 11 to 13 years, old throwing rocks at the back of a residence. The officer observed five damaged windows and one damaged rear door. Several large rocks were inside the house. Officers checked the area for the juveniles with negative results.
Police were dispatched to CVS pharmacy, 1 Main St., on October 12 to investigate a report of retail theft. Two subjects dressed in dark clothing, a hood and hat, entered the store, and allegedly left with two bottles of alcoholic beverages. Police continue to investigate.
Antonio D. Johnson, 20, 432 Indianwood Blvd., Park Forest, was arrested on October 12 and charged with domestic battery and unlawful interference with the reporting of domestic violence when police were dispatched to the 400 block of Indianwood to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance.
Kerry J. Hansen, 32, 361 Niagara, Park Forest, was arrested on October 8 and charged with one misdemeanor count of endangering the life of a child when police were dispatched to the 400 block of Niagara in reference to a check on the well-being of a child.
Trolus Pickett, 42, 329 Nokomis, Park Forest, was arrested on October 13 and charged with aggravated assault when officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Nokomis to investigate a report of a disturbance involving a male with a bat. The victim alleged that while putting her two-year-old son into her car, Pickett allegedly was walking on a sidewalk with a wooden bat in his hands behind her vehicle. Pickett allegedly stopped, turned to the victim, raised a wooden Louisville Slugger youth baseball bat, and threatened the victim and her dog. Pickett also allegedly said, "I have a pistol for you and your dog too," according to the report. A check of past complaints found that the Park Forest Police Department responded to the same address on October 12 in reference to Pickett allegedly threatening to shoot the victim and her dog.
