Chicago Heights, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Would you like to serve on the Board of Trustees for Prairie State College? With the retirement of Marc Wiley from the PSC board, trustees are seeking candidates to fill the vacant position. The board is required to appoint an interim trustee to serve until the next PSC election in 2023.

“We have enjoyed working with Marc Wiley and will miss his exceptional years of service to the PSC board,” said Dr. Ronald J. White, Chairman of the Board.

With his resignation, the board has turned its attention to finding an interim trustee to fill the seat left by Wiley and is accepting applications from possible candidates. Based on the applications, a new board member is expected to be chosen and sworn in at the May 25, 2021 meeting.

To qualify, a candidate must be a registered voter and a resident of Illinois Community College District 515 for a minimum of one year prior to the appointment. Applicants must also submit a letter of interest and a prospective member profile to Pat Trost, Chief of Staff at [email protected], by Tuesday, May 18 at 4:30 p.m. More information can be found on the PSC website, at https://prairiestate.edu/about-us/board-of-trustees/index.aspx.
