Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– As the Park Forest Running and Pancake Club gathered for their annual Progressive Half Marathon Awards Picnic, one member received a special treat. State Rep. Al Riley (D-Olympia Fields) showed up to give Boonsom "Lipstick Lady" Hartman a copy of Illinois House Resolution 1384, which Riley filed on Hartman’s behalf in honor of her marathon accomplishments.

Hartman is the first person in the state of Illinois to run a marathon in all 50 states and the District of Columbia – twice.

A marathon is 26.2 miles.

Club member Ray Funderburk of Park Forest contacted Riley and asked for recognition on Hartman’s behalf.

The "Lipstick Lady" earned her nickname in the running community because she likes to look good when crossing the finish line. Her husband Scott meets her at the 25th mile marker with her lipstick, which she pauses to apply, “I just go to finish, because everybody knows me. They just call me ‘Lipstick Lady.’ They just all cheer for me.”

Hartman is still running. She recently completed her 176th marathon, and plans to run four marathons on two consecutive weekends in October.

Riley may be filing another resolution soon.
