Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Rich East High School has received a $1,000 grant from Allstate to be used to promote teen-led safe driving habits and driver education for their peers. This is the second year of Operation Teen Safe Driving, a state government program supported by the Allstate Foundation in partnership with the Ford Fund. It is designed to help more than 100 schools like REHS implement local teen-led safe driving campaigns to decrease the number of fatalities and crashes involving teens in Illinois.
Since the program was implemented, teen deaths on Illinois highways have fallen by 59 percent.
