Annual Networking Event for Men of Color at Prairie State College on March 22

CHICAGO HEIGHTS—(ENEWSPF)—March 1, 2018 – The Male Success Initiative (MSI) program at Prairie State College (PSC) will host its 12th annual “Ties That Bind” event from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 22, 2018, in the PSC Conference Center on the main campus, located at 202 S. Halsted St. in Chicago Heights.

This event is open to males in the community who are hoping to pursue a college education. Participants will have the opportunity to sharpen their networking skills and learn how to build professional relationships. Mentors will provide students with career advice, tips on how to dress, interviewing techniques, and information on how to succeed in college.

Our goal is to inspire these young men to reach their full potential,” said William Berkley, MSI coordinator and enrollment advisor. “Through mentorship and guidance, we hope to help increase their confidence and provide them with the tools necessary to be successful.”

The event is free open to the public. All participants are encouraged to dress in business attire. Light appetizers will be served.

The purpose of the MSI program is to recruit, enroll, retain and support males of color in their pursuit of all educational endeavors.
