Congresswoman Kelly Donates Computers to Sauk Village School

Sauk Village, IL—(ENEWSPF)—September 17, 2013. Congresswoman Robin Kelly on Monday donated five computers to Strassburg Elementary School in Sauk Village. The used government computers were refurbished by PC Rebuilders & Recyclers of Chicago.

“In today’s digital world, computers are an essential tool. So I’m pleased that more computers can be made available to our students through this valuable government program and through the goodwill of Willie Cade, whose company refit the computers free of charge,” Kelly said.  “This is an example of the positive force that can be created when government and business work together for the benefit of our young people.”

“I believe that Congresswoman Kelly’s visit to School District 168 and the donation of five computers will impact the lives of our children for many years,” said Al Travaglini, superintendent of Community Consolidated School District 168.

Kelly spent time talking to the fourth grade class of Cherri Moore during her visit. Also attending the event was State Representative Elgie Sims, Superintendent Travaglini, District 168 Board President Sharon Davenport, Sauk Village Mayor David Hanks and Trustee Derrick Burgess, and PC Rebuilders CEO Willie Cade.
