Marina V. Kibardina Named Controller/Director of Business Services at PSC

Chicago Heights, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Prairie State College (PSC) recently named Marina V. Kibardina controller/director, business services.

In that role, she is responsible for overall management of accounting operations, including grant accounting, cash management, accounts payable, Bursar operations, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and records management. She also serves as the administrative liaison for contracted auxiliary services, including the bookstore, vending services, and the food service operations. In addition, she is the college’s primary point of contact for external accounting and auditing entities, including, but not limited to, the State Comptroller.

Kibardina comes to PSC after several years with City Colleges of Chicago, where she served first as district director and then interim associate vice chancellor. She also worked as a senior budget manager and grant specialist for the College of Lake County in Grayslake, Ill. She also was an adjunct faculty member in accounting for Oakton Community College in Des Plaines, Ill. Before working in education, Kibardina worked in Chelyabinsk, Russia, as a senior financial analyst and economist for South-Urals Railway Administration, CFO/shareholder for Shuravi Co., and controller for Contech Corp. After coming to the United States, she worked as a CPA and senior staff accountant for Goldberg, Mechales, Charneske and Schiffman in Bannockburn, Ill, and then was the owner and CPA of MetroTax International, LLC in Lake Forest, Ill.

Kibardina has B.S. and M.S. in economics from the Russian Academy of Finance and Economics in Russia, an A.A. from the College of Lake County, and an M.B.A. from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. She is a licensed CPA in the State of Illinois since 2003.
