CHICAGO–(ENEWSPF)–March 14, 2016. Paul McGuinness, a 29-year veteran of higher education enrollment management, has been appointed vice president for enrollment management and student affairs at Roosevelt University, effective April 11.
With extensive experience recruiting, retaining and serving students in the Chicago market, McGuinness joins Roosevelt after leading successful enrollment strategies at a number of area higher education institutions.
Most recently, he was vice chancellor of enrollment management and student affairs at Purdue University North Central. Before joining Purdue North in 2011, he was executive director of admissions and recruitment at Purdue University Calumet for 15 years. From 1988 to 1996, he worked as director of recruitment at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills.
“Paul is a highly accomplished enrollment management professional whose extensive experiences recruiting students in the Chicago market will be invaluable as he leads our efforts to increase enrollments at the Chicago and Schaumburg campuses,” said Ali Malekzadeh, president of Roosevelt University. “He is committed to helping all qualified students achieve their educational goals and has had many years of success in working with diverse populations.”
At Roosevelt, McGuinness will oversee all elements of enrollment, retention and student affairs, including outreach, admissions, financial aid, registration, payment, advising and social student development.

McGuinness has a bachelor’s degree in history from St. Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Ind. and a master’s degree in political science from Governors State University in University Park, Ill.
He is a resident of Orland Park, Ill.
