CHICAGO HEIGHTS—(ENEWSPF)—April 2, 2018

Sexual harassment and discrimination prevention in the workplace has been on the training delivery agenda of many employers for years. Supporting the efforts of #MeToo and #Time’sUp movements, Prairie State College (PSC), in collaboration with Favaro & Gorman, Ltd., an employment law firm in Chicago, is presenting “It’s a New Day,” a highly informative workshop designed to equip participants with the ability to identify sexual harassment and understand reporting responsibilities and rights, as well as assist in establishing the basis for creating a worry-free working environment.

The workshop will provide training and discussion platforms on recognizing harassment and discrimination, reporting responsibilities for victims and witnesses, support resources for survivors, helpful information on confronting and managing workplace harassment and more. The workshop will be held in the PSC Conference Center on Tuesday, April 24. The morning opens at 7:30 a.m. with registration and breakfast, and the day’s activities will end at noon. The fee to attend is $49 per registrant.

A keynote address at 8 a.m. will be presented by Dennis R. Favaro, employment law attorney, and will feature an overview of sexual harassment. The keynote will be followed by two, hour-long breakout sessions and a final wrap up and question and answer panel. Professional Development or Continuing Education Units are available for an additional fee.
