PSC Students and Employees Invited to Ride a Bike or Walk to Campus During Earth Week Celebration

Chicago Heights, IL—(ENEWSPF)—March 22, 2012.  As a part of Earth Week activities at PSC, students and employees are invited to ride a bike or walk to the campus during the week of April 16-20!

Biking and walking are good for the earth. These modes of transportation are less polluting than driving a car, conserve fuel, reduce your carbon footprint, and are a healthy way to commute.

Because we want your experience to be a safe and pleasant experience, some special activities have been planned for anyone who decides to bike to PSC:

Best Practices for Commuting by Bike. This 90 minute League of American Bicyclists course prepares bicyclists to use a bike for shopping and commuting.  It covers topics including route selection, bicycle choice, driving your bike safely in traffic, safety checks, dealing with cargo and clothing, lighting, reflection, and foul weather riding.
Choose ONE of the times below that work best for you:

  • Wednesday, March 28, 2012, 4:30-6:00 pm – Room 1318*
  • Tuesday, April 3, 2012, 2:00-3:30 pm – Room 1322*
