Roosevelt University Begins Search for Next President

CHICAGO—(ENEWSPF)—October 8, 2014. Roosevelt University has launched a nationwide search for a new president to succeed Charles R. Middleton, who is retiring on June 30, 2015 after serving as president since July 2002.

“Roosevelt has truly transformed itself over the last decade and now stands poised for further advancements under new leadership,” said University trustee Patricia Harris, chair of the Presidential Search Committee.  “The Board of Trustees, faculty and administration look forward to working with a new president who has the ability to galvanize the University community around the strategies, tactics and critical decisions that will help it continue to grow and prosper.”

To inform potential candidates about the position, the Search Committee has prepared a Leadership Profile containing detailed information about the University, opportunities for presidential success and desired qualifications of the next president. The Leadership Profile is posted on a special website, www.roosevelt.edu/PresidentialSearch, devoted to the search.

The site also contains a timeline, application details, information about how to submit nominations and a link to ask questions about the position and search process.

Harris said the University will soon begin the process of soliciting and reviewing applications and expects to announce the selection of a new president in the spring.

Nominations, applications, and letters of interest (including a cover letter and resume) should be submitted via email to [email protected].
